1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 48-g, W-5275. Rarity-1. Batman Shield. EF-45 (PCGS). 153.1 grains. A popular variety with type collectors, here offered in very desirable grade. Choice medium brown with hard, frosty surfaces. A lovely New Jersey copper, nicely centered on both sides and showing superb central details. A little curved clip is present above OV of NOVA, a couple little dark spots sit harmlessly at CAE atop the obverse, and a small area of reddish patina is visible above the left side of the shield.
