NEW YORK. New York. Undated (1825-1829) Richard Trested. Rulau-E NY 922. Rarity-7. Brass. Plain Edge. MS-63 (NGC). 24 mm. Lustrous surfaces display blended olive-green and olive-gold with pink and blue accents. Superb eye appeal and remarkable quality for this rare issue that is typically holed when seen. The Michael Zeddies specimen and both of the Gilbert Steinberg examples were holed, as was one handled by us in 2004. One tiny spot is noted near the shield, but this is an outstanding example from this issuer. From our sale of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Part XXIII, August 2013, lot 22073. Lot tag included.
