AUSTRIA. 2 Talers, ND (1680-86). Hall Mint. Leopold I. NGC MS-62.Dav-3249; KM-1119.2. Weight: 56.72 gms. Lustrous with light attractive mottled gray tone, this handsome survivor offers a pleasing appearance with bold devices and relatively smooth surfaces. Due to the style of manufacture the high points of the obverse are a bit more exposed and not as well struck up as those of the reverse. Though a more available issue, this type is somewhat SCARCE and desirable when encountered in uncirculated conditions. Also, included are two different artists renditions of the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I as depicted on sliver 2 Talers, such as the present coin, and gold 5 Ducats of 1669. Each one tastefully rendered with colored pencil and metallic ink utilizing different techniques of blending color and texture to produce handsome reproductions by hand. The 2 Talers is on brown kraft paper (12 in x 9 in) with remnants of perforations on the left side, while the 5 Ducats is on white drawing paper (12 in x 9 in) with remnants of perforations on the top.
