Lebanon, 250 livres, 1939, block U.2, serial number 629, St Johns Cathedral at Byblos at centre, reverse, Sidon Sea Castle,(Pick 21, PCLB 55), PMG 35 (archival specimen, edge pieces missing). Stamped "BILLET SPECIMEN NON REMBOURSABLE". During 1939-1960, all Lebanese banknotes were back by gold therefore all were redeemed as it equate to USD$50,000 - leaving only 8 examples known.
