1876 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-102. Type II Reverse. MS-65 (PCGS). CAC.Luxurious reddish-orange and powder blue iridescence over much of the obverse is confined to a thin halo around the reverse periphery. Intensely lustrous throughout with pinpoint striking detail to further tempt the quality conscious collector. This is a popular issue for high grade type purposes, the 1876 produced in the United States Centennial year and sporting a generous mintage of 8.4 million pieces that virtually guaranteed that a good number of Mint State examples would survive. Yet even so, few that have come down to the present day are smooth enough to qualify for a premium Gem grade, as here.PCGS# 6352.
