1802 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-101, T-1, the only known dies. Rarity-2. Fine-12 (PCGS). CAC.Attractively original surfaces offer blended pewter and olive-gray patina. Ample boldness of detail remains to the major design elements, both sides smooth in hand, and uncommonly so for having seen this extensive circulation. Just one pair of dies was employed to strike the entire 1802-dated half dollar issue, recycling the reverse die from the 1801 O-102 variety. With 29,890 coins struck, this issue has the lowest mintage of the Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle type and is a key date along with the 1801.PCGS# 6065. NGC ID: 24EE.From the Collection of James Allaire Millholland, 1842-1911.
