1806 Draped Bust Quarter. B-6. Rarity-5. EF-45 (PCGS).An engaging piece with mottled olive, reddish-russet and medium blue overtones to a base of light pewter-gray patina. The strike is well centered and, while isolated high points are a bit soft, most features retain ample sharpness in the absence of all but light wear. This is a scarce and underrated type in all grades, as is its Large Diameter Capped Bust successor. The 1806 Browning-6 is also a rare die pairing, this being our first offering for the attribution in more than a decade.PCGS# 5314.
