1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 12.1-F.1, W-4520. Rarity-4+. Mailed Bust Left. EF-40 (PCGS).140.3 grains. Attractive medium brown surfaces that are totally problem-free and display subtle mint frost in the fields, surprising for an EF Connecticut copper. Softly struck on the face and at the lower obverse and corresponding upper reverse, but a good majority of the design elements are bold and both sides are well centered on the planchet. An excellent example of this scarce variety that doesnt often come in high grade.PCGS# 687228.From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier ex Christopher B. Young, January 2013.
