CONSTANS II with CONSTANTINE IV, HERACLIUS & TIBERIUS, 641-668. AV Solidus (4.42 gms), Constantinople Mint, 4th Officina, 662-667. NGC Ch AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 4/5. S-964. Obverse: Crowned and draped busts facing of Constans, wearing plumed helmet, and Constantine; cross above; Reverse: Cross potent set upon three steps; Heraclius and Tiberius, each holding globus cruciger, standing facing to left and right, respectively. A fresh example of this interesting dynastic type. Details on both sides are sharp and original, surrounded by shimmering luster. The obverse is struck slightly off-center, but the coin is mercifully free from the problems that commonly plague Byzantine gold issues. Ex: Christies New York (06/1991), Lot # 86.<p>
