1818 Matron Head Cent. N-9. Rarity-3. AU-58 (PCGS). A lovely cent with glossy chocolate-brown and tan surfaces. Subtle frosty luster remains in the fields on each side and a few spots of darker tone on the obverse are the only minor blemishes. Later die state with a rim break above star 8 and probably some reverse rim crumbling as well. A superior example and comes with quite the provenance. PCGS# 36625. NGC ID: 2253. From the John McBride Collection. Earlier from B. Max Mehls 1929 Fixed Price List sale of the Dr. George P.
