Lucania, Sybaris, AR Nomos, c. 550-510 BC, Bull standing left on dotted exergual line, looking backwards, VM in exergue, rev. same type as obverse incuse, 7.72g (SNG Copenhagen 1388; SNG ANS 834; Dewing 406; Jamesons 1873; HN Italy 1729) roughly fractured at edge with notable carbon-spotting, nevertheless a well-struck example with some light toning, a bolder very fine
