VENEZUELA. Estados-Unidos de Venezuela. 1 Peso, 1811. P-4. Rosenman 1. PMG Choice Very Fine 35. No. F71 266708, Block T.267. Signatures of Bartolome Blandin, Juan German Roscio, and Martin Tovar Ponte. This series was put into circulation on November 18, 1811. Notes from the series were printed by Baillo and Co., who specialized in official publications. The plates were made of wood, which were cut by a knife. This technique led to many forgeries, a problem which would persist until the end of circulation. This is the plate note for the book Billetes de Venezuela by Richard Rosenman. PMG comments "Small Holes". PMG Pop 4/2 Finer. From the Rosenman Collection.
