This attractive and problem-free Cob, plated in Sellschopp, boasts plenty of detail. The first letters of the monarchs name appear on the obverse, along with a clear denomination and remnants of both the mintmark and assayers initial. On the reverse, just enough of the final two digits of the date are decipherable, giving this piece a definitive dating. The central devices on both sides exhibit some weakness but remain satisfyingly intact.
