BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, 1632-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Juan Jimenez de Tapia (T). Philip IV. PCGS Genuine--Planchet Flaw, VF Details.KM-17A; Cal-1096. Weight: 12.68 gms. This crude Potosi cob exhibits a large planchet flaw on its obverse. However, the nature of the off-center strike means that some important detail survives. A partial legend reading "HISPAN" is visible on the obverse, and the complete four-digit date appears on the reverse. An interesting piece with nicely toned surfaces. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click here. From the Pat Johnson Collection.Ex: Kagins 1983 ANA sale, August 1983, lot # 1137.
