Eye-catching error with curly fiber emanating from the right side of the Temple. About the 1991 gold 50 yuan regular issue, Anthony says: "notably hard to find, especially in nice shape," the estimated survival rate being less than 8%. Only two higher in MS 70 in the current NGC census. Mintage (for both mints): 32,717 (but estimated extant population for this variety <1,400).
