Lot of (2). Fr. 2211-Kdgs & 2211-Kdgsm. 1934 $1000 Federal Reserve Notes. Dallas. PMG About Uncirculated 53. Changeover Pair. High denomination notes from the Dallas district are highly sought after in any form, and this consecutive mule to non-mule changeover pair should pique the interest of quite a few collectors. The Standard Guide to Small Size U.S. Paper Money by John Schwartz and Scott Lindquist does not record this mule to non-mule changeover pair in their census. Offerings of changeover $1000s have been scant over the years (with Dallas notes being non-existent), with this being the first set we can recall handling publicly. Both notes are dark green seals, and are in the same About Uncirculated 53 grade. The consecutive note is a mule, with PMG commenting "Minor Rust", which is a small spot in the top left margin. Traces of original embossing are found on both. Given the demand for $1000s lately, and the rarity of this Dallas changeover pair, this is an opportunity which should not be passed up as this set will most likely enter a long term collection.
