Fr. 1133-J. 1918 $1000 Federal Reserve Note. Kansas City. PMG Very Fine 25. This large size high denomination type is always a hit with collectors. Founding father Alexander Hamiltons stately portrait is found at center on the face while six 1000 counters are displayed on the corners and ends. On the reverse our national bird with wings spread proudly clutching the American flag is seen at center flanked by large denominational counters in a dark green ink. This example comes from the Kansas City Federal Reserve District. Currently, just five notes are reported to survive from this district, making it one of the more difficult issuers to acquire. This note also bears the lowest reported surviving serial number from the district for the type: J310A. This type from this district has not been offered at public auction since a 2013 sale. Dont miss out on your chance to acquire this piece, as it may be another decade since this key district is offered again. PMG Pop 1/1 Finer.
