1723 Rosa Americana Twopence. Martin 3.8-E.16, W-1334. Rarity-4. EF-45 (PCGS). 229.7 grains. A pleasing EF example with lighter color than usual. Predominantly brassy-tan and light steel-brown with a bit of orange discoloration on the portrait and right side of the reverse. Nice full detail for the grade with no weakness of strike. Natural microporosity to the surfaces but still rather glossy. Only minor marks and a lone planchet bubble under the final A of AMERICANA. PCGS# 905720. From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
