Obverse: Laureate head left; Reverse: Neptune, wielding trident, in sea quadriga drawn rightward by hippocampi; in sky above, personifications of the winds blowing up a tempest upon the seas. Struck in high relief, this exceptionally preserved medal exhibits reflective surfaces that have faded to brown in the open areas with reddish highlights around the protected designs. Absolutely RARE in this quality, and quite desirable with the great personification design on the reverse.The Treaty of Vienna, </em>in this instance, marked the end of the Anglo-French Alliance and the beginning of the Anglo-Austrian Alliance.</em>
