One of just four examples of this elusive 50 Dollar Specimens available to collectors in a PMG holder. This type seldom appears at public auctions, with this being the first example we have offered in our lengthy history. At left of center is a vignette of Li Hongzhang, and buildings at right. The border design is comprised of a dark green ink, with a brown-yellow undertint. At center is a colorful guilloche in watermelon colors of red & green.
