Seemingly more encountered in silver than this "white alloy," the present specimen is undoubtedly an impressive RARITY, and is made that much more appealing on account of its clear edge, as the type is normally mounted for wearing as well. Rather wholesome and charming, with the somewhat uneven toning likely owing to the metallic composition.Chang Hsueh-liang (Zhang Xueliang) was an instrumental figure in ending the Chinese Civil War, accommodating communist rule, and presenting a united front in opposition to the Japanese occupation. As such, he was one of the great heroes of Chinese 20th century history. This type was presented to graduates of Changs officer training school in Xian in June 1936.</em>
