Obverse: "Xian Feng Zhong Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This wholly original looking large format issue boasts crisp well-formed characters. The surfaces exhibit a nearly complete naturally rough surface texture with much evidence of the finishing process on the high points. Lovely rich mottled brassy patina coupled with a few areas of verdigris on the reverse adds to its pleasing appearance for this type. Nicely preserved, these multiple denomination issues are quite tough to locate in this high state of preservation and should be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
