GREAT BRITAIN. Unite, ND (1604-05). London Mint; mm: lis. James I. PCGS AU-55. S-2618; Fr-234; N-2083. Second coinage, second bust. Weight: 10.00 gms. Obverse: Crowned and armored half-length bust right, holding orb and lis-tipped scepter; Reverse: Garnished square-topped coat-of-arms; crown above. Exceedingly attractive and pleasing to the eye, this barely handled example features mostly golden-yellow surfaces, with some deeper orange hues accentuating the devices. So precise is the detailing that the minute characteristics of the kings armor are well defined. To view all items from the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection, click here. From the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection.
