A gaudy and flashy piece, this 5 Ducats issue demonstrates both superb luster and a crisp and refined strike. A few hits that softly break the luster likely prevent this example from attaining a Superb Gem grade. Even still, examples of this type are generally hard to find as nice, with NGC only certifying two examples as finer than this one.
