1878-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-65 DMPL (PCGS). A lovely example dusted with pale silvery iridescence, through which boldly reflective fields shine powerfully as the surfaces dip into a light. Those surfaces also sport sharp, frosty motifs, and they are expectably smooth for the assigned grade. The 1878-S is the scarcest early date San Francisco Mint Morgan dollar issue, and this is particularly true in the DMPL category.
