1892-S Barber Half Dollar. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. This is the first San Francisco Mint Barber half dollar. It boasted a rather large mintage of 1,029,028 pieces, however, it is now considered a key date in all grades. The present appealing near-Gem exhibits medium dove-gray iridescence and full, satin mint luster. Very pretty tinges of gold can also be seen on portions of the reverse. Fully struck and suggestive of an even higher Mint State rating, this coin would serve with distinction in an advanced collection of Barber coinage.

PCGS# 6464. NGC ID: 24LJ.
