Native Gold Specimen. Approximately 29.1 mm x 10.4 mm x 14.8 mm. 8.5 grams. A fascinating and scarce native gold crystal. The overall form is that of a flattened, roughly pyramidal form, though it is constructed of flat planes, each consisting of multitude of tiny octahedral crystals. A really complex and interesting natural formation with traces of matrix within some of the protected recesses. While nuggets are relatively common, only a small fraction of native gold specimens are in a natural crystal formation and they are very much desired by mineral collectors.
