The design elements are satiny in texture and fully defined, and the entire package is dressed in an outstanding blend of deep orange mint color and iridescent copper-brown patina. Although not in the same rarity league as the Proof Small Motto, the 1864 Large Motto two-cent piece in this format is conditionally challenging in its own right and can be very challenging to locate as a Gem.
