While we have been offering increasing numbers of British political tokens with this basic obverse type in our sales -- due to their association by subject with the popular HT-81 Hard Times tokens -- this is the first gilt specimen that we can recall handling. It is a bright medium gold example with a prooflike finish and sharply executed strike. Intriguing, and undoubtedly rare in this fabric.
