A tiny rim bump is noted on the reverse at 6 oclock, but the medallion is as-issued otherwise. Housed in a blue leather case with a functional clasp an d blue plush and white silk interior. Inside the case is a brass plaque that reads A RICORDO / PRIMA EXPLORARIONE UMANA DELL LUNA / L AZIENDA DI SOGGIORNO E / IL COMUNE DI SELVINO / OFFRONO A / EDWIN E. ALDRIN JR. while the white silk background has ALBERTI S.R.L. / MILANO imprinted in gold. Accompanied by a photocopy of an unclassified Department of the State Airgram indicating that the American consulate in Milan accepted three gold medallions on behalf of the Apollo 11 astronauts from the President of the Tourist Bureau in Selvino, a resort village about 80 miles north-west of Milan.
