(t) CHINA. China - Germany. Li Hung Changs Visit to Hamburg Gilt Copper Medal, 1896. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, Unc Details. L&M-934 var. (silver). Diameter: 40mm. Obverse: Facing bust, wearing cap; Reverse: Legend and date in five lines. This handsome example provides an interesting design and is essentially unhandled, presenting no wearing on the devices or exposed copper, even though the gilding does get lighter in places. An unfortunate scratch is noted by PCGS on the reverse, but even still, this example is VERY SCARCE and hugely collectible.
