Fr. 314. 1886 $20 Silver Certificate. PCGS Banknote Choice Uncirculated 64. A remarkable "Diamond Back" Series of 1886 $20 Silver Certificate that is the finest graded example of the catalog number by either PCGS Banknote or PMG. This Rosecrans-Huston signed example is framed by plentiful margins and printed in bold inks. The lovely allegorical design features Agriculture and Industry flanking the portrait vignette of Daniel Manning, who died in December of 1887, at center. The distinctive back design carries a trait shared by all 1886 Silver Certificates, an incredibly ornate layout with heavy geometric lathe work. The striking diamond shaped central feature encloses the obligation within and lends to the Diamond Back nickname this type is known for. This is an always popular type and all the more desirable in this "top-pop" condition census grade.
