A very old merchants token produced for use in the Stocks Market in central London, this example demonstrates some mustard brown patina and excellent details. The only known issue for this locality in London. <em>The Stocks Market operated in Central London between 1282 and 1737. Butchers and fishmongers sold flesh and fish and by the end of its existence had become quite a popular place for the working class of London to purchase fresh meat.
