Edward VI (1547-1553), Third Period, Fine Silver Issue, Shilling, 1551-1553, Tower crowned facing bust, rose and XII in fields, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée, 5.98g, 2h, m.m. tun (North 1937; Spink 2482), an unfortunate scuff across portrait and pastille-like surfaces, otherwise a splendid example for type, neatly struck-up, a pleasingly bold very fine, scarce in this state
