This highly popular note is one which attracts attention from bidders in any grade. This About Uncirculated 55 example is one of the finest we have had the pleasuring of offering in our lengthy auction history. Mona Lisa, as painted by Leonardo da Vinci, is found at center. "2" counters are seen at left and right surrounded by ornate red guilloches. The reverse of the note shows oxen pulling a lumber cart. Six "2" counters are seen on the reverse. At the time of cataloging, PMG has graded no examples in the Uncirculated grade level. PMG comments "Pinholes, Stains."
