Sailing Ship vignette at left. Latin motto MULTORIUM SPES, which Newman translates "The hope of many." The back states "Death to Counterfeit." This denomination was equivalent to 13 Pounds. Imprint "Printed by Pet. Timothy, 1777." Bright, well printed, and very well margined. Nice Choice Extremely Fine and AU notes are about as nice as these fully signed notes are found. While Remainders are seen in all sorts of lofty gem grades, such is not the case for fully issued notes, which are essentially unknown in uncirculated condition.
