1928 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-66 (NGC). Lovely deep gold patina blends with softly frosted luster to provide outstanding visual appeal. Although not as plentiful as the 1924 or 1927, the 1928 still numbers among the leading type candidates in the Motto portion of the Saint-Gaudens double eagle series.
