Fr. 1953-F. 1928C LGS $5 Federal Reserve Note. Atlanta. PCGS Currency Choice About New 58 PPQ. A rare series date that is seldom seen with any grade when offered. The note presented here goes against that trend and is seen with only a hint of circulation. A dark impression of the Five Dollar Lincoln design is quite pleasing with great contrast to the white paper and light green overprints. The note is one of only three Federal Reserve Districts which printed notes with the 1928C series date and the Atlanta district is the only issuing branch with known notes. The print was an extremely light 2,056,200 notes and only the Atlanta district issued replacements of which none are known. A gorgeous example that has the look of a fully Uncirculated note.
