CHINA. Dollar, ND (1912). Nanjing Mint. NGC AU Details--Reverse Scratched, Cleaned. L&M-42; K-603; KM-Y-319; WS-0085. Low five-pointed stars variety. A lightly handled example of this ever-popular type displaying lovely rich iridescent patina that pops out when tilted in the light. Close inspection reveals a thin scratch on the reverse with evidence of a past cleaning from long ago, now slightly subdued by the attractive patination. Despite its shortcomings an handsome example of the type that is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
