CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint. NGC AU Details--Obverse Damage. L&M-24; K-219; Hsu-52; WS-0036; Wenchao-98 (rarity two stars). This popular type, featuring a short-lived yet nevertheless sought after design, exhibits some minor damage to the dragon side accounting for the details designation. The strike, however, is quite bold, with a charming autumnal nature to the toning as well as a good deal of shimmering brilliance remaining throughout. From the Hobart Collection.
