An interesting little ingot displaying rich gray patina. <p><em>These crude ingots were cast to a certain fineness and levied as tariffs on goods crossing all major waterways and roadways called "Guans" (official). These cakes were purchased directly from the furnace rooms as raw silver and then recast for the customs tax payments.</em><p>
