Mint State. 46 mm. 52.67 grams. Edge marked (cornucopia) ARGENT at 4 oclock relative to the obverse. Uniform sandblast finish to predominantly pearl-gray surfaces, glints of pewter are evident around the obverse periphery, both sides with subtle pale olive overtones. Though bronze specimens of this Comitia Americana medal are fairly commonplace, silver examples from the original dies are rare, confirming the desirability of this handsome later striking.
