Obverse: Herakles standing right, holding club overhead and preparing to strike the Cretan Bull, standing right in background; Reverse: River god Hypsas standing left, holding branch and phiale, from which he sacrifices over serpent-entwined altar to left; to right, selinon leaf above heron stepping right. A dazzling and artistic type that is also fairly <strong>RARE</strong>, this specimen features a rather deep cabinet tone. Some rougher areas in he fields have been smoothed at one point, hence the notation. Nevertheless, a great opportunity for a difficult coin.
