COLOMBIA. Cob 2 Escudos, ND (ca. 1710-1714). Philip V. NGC Unc Details--Cleaned. KM-14.2; Cal-Type 3. Lions and castles transposed. A wholesome example of the type with a decent strike, and nearly complete cross. By comparison, the design of the dies for this piece closely resembles that of the die style of 1710-14 struck in the name of Charles II (posthumously), under Philip V. Though a bit bright from a past cleaning the surfaces now display attractive orange hue patina in the protected areas adding to pleasing appearance.
