ATTICA. Athens. AR Tetradrachm, ca. 454-404 B.C. ANACS AU 50. Kroll-8; HGC-4, 1597. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. Quite bold on the obverse, this specimen was struck on a somewhat irregular flan, but nevertheless features the slightest degree of the entirety of Athenas crest.
