1884 Liberty Head Nickel. MS-66 (PCGS). Dusted with soft golden-apricot iridescence, streaks of salmon-pink and powder blue are also seen on the obverse. This is a beautiful upper end Gem, one that is also technically impeccable, with smooth satin luster and a virtually full strike. While the 1884 (11,270,000 circulation strikes produced) is one of the more readily obtainable Liberty Head nickels from the 1880s in lower Mint State grades, attractive MS-66s such as this are rare from a condition standpoint.
