1995年500元精制金币，麒麟系列。发行量99枚。极罕而又广受爱戴的版别。精制的 5 盎司金币。霜面图文配以镜面底版， 夺目诱人。边缘序号 12。#"3"。麒麟常被翻译 为Unicorn（独角兽），容易造成误会。此动物在描绘中，常以头顶一角或 二角的形象出现。Unicorn 在现代汉语中应翻译为独角兽。中国不少神话动物头上均有角。头顶角的应被称为独角麒麟，而 非"独角兽"。

A brilliant 5 ounce gold Proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. Serial number on rim at 12 oclock reads "13".Often times the translation of Qilin from Chinese to English is "Unicorn", but this is somewhat misleading as they can be found depicted with one or two horns. In modern times a separate word "Dujiaoshou" is used in Chinese for "Unicorn" and though a number of Chinese mythical creatures can be found depicted with one horn a Qilin with one horn would be called a "one-horned Qilin" in Chinese not a "Unicorn".
