This brass example, as well as other metal contents, was produced by Menning Brothers as a salesmans sample in an effort to sell minting equipment to Cambodia. Though featuring the often encountered bust of Norodom on its obverse, the reverse displays more of a western iconography, with the Prince and Heavenly Host, St. Michael the Archangel slaying the devil as a fallen angel. A highly attractive survivor exhibiting a sharp strike with semi-reflective fields displaying lovely rich brassy patination boasting a plethora of complementary hues offering much originality and great eye appeal sure to catch the attention of many collectors.
