光绪二十三年北洋机器局造半角银币。铸打较寻常所见佳，但正面仍可见些许扁平。底版光泽丰沛。正面呈柔和灰色，有微弱的浅金色泽。反面为浓郁的日落色调。定为集藏添彩的美品。

This lovely little minor issue exhibits a better strike than normally encountered, though a bit of flatness is still noticed in the face with plenty of remaining luster in the protected areas. The obverse displays a soft gray color with a slight golden hue while the reverse shows richer sunset hues. This pleasing example is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
