袁世凯像共和纪念币壹圆银币。光泽俱佳，轻微经手痕迹，在过往曾被镀金，致得此评分。不论币面的颜色如何，整体仍是备受欢迎、优美的一枚。有趣的是耿爱德曾提及K-642c，指"为颁赠而镀金"，但并无指明何时及镀金是如何完成，所以亦难归纳出他所指的是那一个版别。总体而言，依然是引人入胜、别树风格的一枚。

CHINA. Dollar, ND (1914). PCGS Genuine--Surface Plated, AU Details Gold Shield.L&M-858; K-642; KM-Y-322; WS-0094. Diameter: 39mm. Highly brilliant and engaging, this lightly handled example retains a good deal of luster despite its designation, which comes from a gilt plating at some point in its past. A popular and pleasing type no matter the change in its surface color, it is interesting to note that Kann mentioned a line item (K-642c) that is "gold-plated for presentation purposes." As Kann provided no other information as to when or how this gilding was done, it is impossible to know to what he was referring when referencing such a variety, but it is nevertheless fascinating when viewed in light of this particular piece.
